

Shaun Owens
Shaun Owens is an innovation strategist for the Environment and Health Group. He has over a decade of experience in brokering community partnerships and developing technologies for shared decision-making interventions for a variety of chronic conditions with high risk communities. He current directs EHGs efforts to develop and evaluate a medication adherence application for patients with hypertension. Shaun holds a Master of Public Health degree from Emory’s Rollins School of Public Health and a PhD in Health Promotion Education and Behavior from the University of South Carolina’s Arnold School of Public Health. He has served on the faculty of the College of Social Work at the University of South Carolina for ten years where he co-directs the SmartHOME Center for Economic Excellence, a research center focused on the use of technology for healthy aging.
