HEALTHY EATING AND PREGNANCY COMPLICATIONS
EHG is using mobile and e-communication technologies to provide health provider groups with tools to help patients adopt healthy eating and shopping behaviors as a way to reduce obesity and prevent diabetes, one of the most common health consequences of obesity. EHG mobile and web programs foster provider and patient communication, incorporate evidence-based prevention practices, use nudges based upon behavioral economics to encourage healthy decision making, and provide additional patient-to-patient support through purposeful online communities.
Hola Bebé, Hola Salud
Building on the success of Hola Bebé, Adiós Diabetes, Hola Bebé, Hola Salud is specifically designed to address pregnancy complications among Latina women. This mobile and web-based platform goes beyond diabetes prevention to offer comprehensive maternal and prenatal care support. Features include culturally tailored educational resources, interactive tools for monitoring health indicators, and real-time communication with healthcare providers.
Product Validation:
Recently completed the validation of Phase I, demonstrating both feasibility and acceptability and are now preparing to apply for Phase II funding to further enhance and expand the program’s capabilities.

Many Latina women face unique barriers to adopting healthy eating habits, contributing to some of the highest obesity rates in the U.S. +Ready is a mobile and cloud-based platform that connects Latina women with their healthcare teams, offering personalized resources such as grocery shopping tips, healthy recipes, and actionable reminders. By integrating behavioral economics principles and user-friendly technology, +Ready empowers women to make positive, sustainable changes in their daily lives. Our goal is to reach as many overweight and obese Latina and other women in the US either directly or through their primary care providers.
